Expanding private GP practice welcoming new patients in St Andrews
The clinic is located only a few minutes from the centre of St Andrews in a beautiful rural setting, easily accessible by car or taxi.
Dr Karen Graham, Clinical Director, and her team provide a wide range of primary care services both in person and by telephone and video access. The clinic team has expanded over the last year and now has four GPs and one cardiologist providing care across the week.
The team prides itself on being approachable and responsive and between them have many years of varied primary and secondary care experience. They are also looking to expand the clinical offering even further in the not too distant future.
Where required, rapid referral to specialist services can be provided, in particular to MRI and CT imaging as there is a special contract with a provider which has state of the art imaging facilities. Scans can be arranged within a few days of referral.
The clinic has been operating for more than 20 years and was founded by Dr Dan Rutherford as Croftwell Consulting, then as Vaila Health before being rebranded by Dr Graham and her husband in 2022.

Queries can be directed to [email protected] and the team will endeavour to answer that day. Communication will, at all times, be handled by a fully qualified doctor. The standard appointment length is 20mins but this can be extended by prior arrangement for more complex issues.
The Croftwell Clinic tries to provide a one stop shop for most consultations with blood and urine tests being conducted the same day and results communicated within 24-72 hours in most cases.
The team also provides allergy and intolerance testing and support immunotherapy treatment regimes established elsewhere.
They are the only GP provider of Panorama antenatal testing in Scotland and are also providers of advanced Trucheck cancer screening (looking for 70 solid tumours) and Epicheck prostate cancer testing.
